Welcome to your online library of self-paced, trauma informed yoga practices! This library includes classes conducted in studio and virtually taught by: Mary Ortenburger, LMFT, RYT-500, yoga therapist in training, licensed psychotherapist, and trauma specialist.

60 Min Yin Yoga Practice
This class is yin focused with some dynamic movement, focused on the shoulders and shoulder opening.

Gentle Flow 40 min followed by 20 min Restorative
Feel free to stop if you need a shorter practice at the 40 min mark (in child's pose), or participate in the full 60 min balanced practice.

Restorative Yoga 45 Min
This is a trauma informed yoga sequence, using 2 bolsters, and one block. Use large pillows and books if no props are available for you. I used less talking and cuing in this sequence to allow for more relaxation, so if you prefer more cuing choose another video!

Yin practice with dynamic movement
Trauma informed yin practice, with the option for more dynamic movement and little to no props. The sequence if focused on the shoulders, hamstrings and the hips.

Yin Yoga: Shoulder Focus
Yin yoga practice, using one booster and two blocks. Focus is on the shoulders with some poses that target the hips and inner thighs.

Yin Yoga for Hips, Shoulders, and Hamstrings
This sequence focuses on the hips and hamstrings as well as the shoulders .Option to use one poster and 2 blocks are needed for heart bench at the end of the sequence.

Yin Yoga: Hips and Low Back
This sequence has options for low back twists (so not optimal for low back pain but beneficial if you are pain free and want some stretching in the low back) as well as the hips. Use of one bolster and 2 blocks.

Yin Yoga, 60 min Hips and Shoulders
This 60 min sequence focuses on the hips and shoulders, and has a theme of self-love during times of holiday stress. Props include: rolled blanket or bolster, blocks and a yoga strap.

Restorative Yoga 60 min
60 min restorative practice, using props for comfort. Restorative yoga triggers the parasympathetic nervous system response of rest and digest, and can be healing for the nervous system overall.

25 min Restorative Sequence (can combine with flow for sampler option)
This video can be combined with our flow to have a full 60 min sampler practice, or be a stand alone option. Props for comfort, using bolster and blocks or anything you have at home.

Sampler 60 Min
This practice starts of with yin poses and some gentle dynamic movement, and moves into a short standing flow, closing with 20 min of a restorative practice.

Restore, Yoga Nidra Closing with 10 min of Sound Healing
This practice includes 2 restorative poses with props, a 35 min yoga Nidra for awake sleep, and closes with 10 min of sound healing.

Yoga Flow Trauma Informed
This is a yoga flow with intermediate options and open to beginners. Trauma informed so all poses and options are yours as you find strength and stability in your poses.

Sampler 60 Min
This practice starts of using a yoga strap for the yin portion and moves into a gentle flow, closing in restorative poses with the use of a bolster.

Sampler 60 Minutes
This is our 60 min sampler class, starting off slowly and yin-like, moving into a gentle standing flow (1 round), and ending in restorative poses for rest and relaxation. A fully balanced Samana practice to leave you feeling refreshed and also calm and balanced.

Yin for Hamstrings and Inner Thighs
This practice targets the hips but mostly inner thighs and hamstrings. Some twits but optics for no twisting for those who can't or it induces pain.

20 Min Gentle Flow
Here is a 25 min gentle flow that can be paired with our 24 min restorative for a sampler class. Take alone, or follow with restorative for a fully balanced and Samana practice. Or take stand alone as an option.

35 Min Restorative Practice
Here is the restorative potion of our sampler, that can be taken alone or with our 25 min flow to start. Relax for 35 min with bolsters either alone or after a 25 min gentle flow.

Yin Practice Trauma Informed Hips and Shoulders
This sequence has twists but you can choose the option of not twisting the body if it does not serve you. Targets hips and shoulders as well as obliques.

Yin for Shoulders (and some hips)
This Yin sequence has some hip opening but is primarily focused on the shoulders and shoulder opening poses. You can do the sequence without props but you will need 2 blocks (or anything to substitute like folded blankets) for the final pose of class.

Yin For Shoulders and Back (option for no twisting)
This sequence has the option to use one prop only (bolster or rolled blanket) and has cues if no twisting is wanted for the low back, etc. Some poses target the hips and low back and main focus is on the shoulders.

Yin Yoga, Trauma Informed
This 60 min sequence can be done with holding the poses, or moving more dynamically. Props include: bolster, yoga strap, and yoga blocks but substitute with household items if needed.

Yin for Hips
This sequence using a bolster and two blocks for support. Options for hip opening poses and cues to notice and honor cues from the body. As always, trauma informed practice.
